Typical Conversation With A Short Sale Processor I Experienced Today:
(NOTE: This after I have tried to move this short sale forward several months.)
Bank: We are reviewing your clients to see if they are HAFA elligible. This process will take several days.
Me: My clients are not HAFA elligible because they moved out of the house. Please move short sale process forward.
Bank: We still need to review your clients for HAFA.
Me: Why? I just told you they do not meet HAFA elligibility requirements.
Bank: We still need to review anyways. Please allow several days for review.
